Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the office located?

I have an office in my home, but I only see clients in the office after we have established a working relationship. However, I do offer concierge services, where I will come to your home or office if that is most convenient for you.

What are your office hours?

My office hours are:

Mondays 10 am – 6 pm
Tuesdays 10 am – 6 pm
Wednesdays 10 am – 6 pm
Thursdays 10 am – 6 pm
Fridays 10 am – 6 pm

On a case-by-case basis, if a session is needed outside my office hours, I will do my best to accommodate your schedule.

How long is a typical session?

Talk Therapy: 55 minutes

Ketamine-Assisted Therapy: One to three hours

What do I do to get started?
It’s so easy! We start with a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we can work together. Then, you can call (214) 208-5880, email me at thehealingcurator@gmail.com, or hit one of the Contact buttons on the website. Once we decide to move forward, we can set up our first session on the phone or through email.
What is the hourly fee?

$150 per hour for online or office visit

$200 per hour for a concierge home or office visit

How do I pay?

Cash, Check, Venmo, Zelle, and all major credit cards.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not take insurance, but I will provide you with a receipt so that you can file it with your insurance company. Depending on their policies, you may get reimbursed for a portion of our visit. However, you must know that I would be an out-of-the-network provider.

How do I make an appointment?

You can email me at thehealingcurator@gmail.com, or use the website’s Contact buttons.

Can I cancel the appointment? Do you have a cancellation policy?
I ask for 24 hours’ notice of cancellation. If less than that, I charge the full fee for the time. I allow for emergencies and other exceptions on a limited basis. I understand that sometimes life happens.
What is a free initial phone consultation?

We start with a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we are a good fit. You are under no obligation to commit to the therapeutic process. I’ll ask you a few simple questions and allow you to voice any of your questions or concerns, and then we can move forward to our first session.

What age range do you work with?
18 and beyond. I don’t work with children or adolescents, but I will be happy to refer you to a great therapist who works with your kiddos and teenagers.
Do you work with men? Women? Couples?

I work with men and women on a variety of issues. I do not work with couples, but I can refer you to a fantastic couples therapist.

Are you LGBTQIA-friendly?
Yes
What can I expect in the first session?
We will get to know each other a bit in our first session. We will discuss what is bringing you into therapy, your history, and set some goals about what you want to get out of treatment. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a beautiful therapeutic relationship.
How do you work with clients?
I am an integral therapist, so my treatment plan for each client can differ. Depending on personality types and issues that need to be addressed, I tailor the plan for the therapeutic process around what they may need. I like to foster a warm and inviting environment and provide unconditional support.
Do you offer video or phone sessions?
I do. This is my preferred way of working with people.
Have you been in therapy yourself?
Oh yes, and I am still in therapy today. For me, it is super important to engage in a high level of self-care and personal accountability for my mental health. Plus, I love therapy. It has helped me in many areas of my life, and I rely on it for personal support.
Do you prescribe medications?
I do not, but I will be happy to work with you on finding a psychiatrist who can take care of your medication needs.
